Clinical Professional Relations Committee​

Informs the professional community about the CGP. Develops material for promoting group therapy practices. Oversees the Harold S. Bernard Award for Outstanding Contributions in Education and Training in Group Therapy.

Practice Development Committee​

Creates and maintains relationships/partnerships with healthcare systems to promote group psychotherapy training and high-quality delivery of service. Maintains relationships with national accrediting organizations and payor systems to promote CGP standards. Solicits and ensures submission of Annual Program and Distance Learning Recommendations.

Recommends persons with the appropriate expertise to participate on the Certification Board of Directors as well as conducts exit interviews.

Standards Committee​

Reviews and accepts new CGP applicants and keeps current on all clinical credentials for all disciplines. Responsible for all policies and materials on re-certification. Considers ethical issues relevant to group psychotherapy practice.
