Celebration of Scholarship and Award Winners and Contributors During the AGPA Connect Meeting

The Group Foundation for Advancing Mental Health will honor scholarship and award recipients, along with their donors, during AGPA Connect 2025 in San Francisco, CA, from March 3-8, 2025, at the Tri-Organizational Awards Ceremony on March 5 and the Group Foundation Luncheon on March 8. Recognized awards include the Alonso Award for Excellence in Psychodynamic Group Theory to Dana Azani Sadka, Netanel Zingboim, Phillip R. Shaver, and Mario Mikulincer for their article on attachment in group settings; the Humanitarian Award to Reginald Dwayne Betts of Freedom Reads; and the Robert H. Klein Social Responsibility Award to Bonnie J. Buchele and Haim Weinberg. Over 200 individuals received scholarships to attend, supported by endowed funds and private donations. The event, themed “Being Seen: The Many Faces of Group,” attracts 1,000 global group therapists to explore effective group therapy techniques, highlighting its growing use due to its effectiveness and cost-efficiency.
