The International Board for Certification of Group Psychotherapists announced that the 2026 Harold S. Bernard Group Psychotherapy Training Award will be presented to Shemika Brooks-Woods, PsyD, CGP, AGPA-F, and the Process Group Immersion program (PGI) during AGPA Connect 2026 in New York City. The award recognizes excellence in group psychotherapy training and education, honoring Dr. Brooks-Woods’ contributions to developing clinicians and expanding access to group therapy training through innovative programming. The presentation will take place during the Tri-Organizational Awards Ceremony on March 4. This award presentation is a highlight of AGPA Connect 2026, held March 2–7 in New York City.
