Webinar - Antisemitism: What Mental Health Professionals Need to Know with Liya Levanda, PsyD - Sunday, September 15 from 4:00 - 7:00 pm (Eastern)
Antisemitism is at an all-time high, and the insidious and chameleonic nature of antisemitism brings severe detriment to Jews around the world, but many clinicians report a lack of knowledge and an accompanying discomfort in addressing antisemitism and related issues with Jewish clients. To address this gap, clinicians need to feel more comfortable and confident identifying antisemitism, reflecting on their own antisemitic biases, identifying how antisemitism can impact clinical work, and how to be an ally in combating antisemitism.
This training provides a foundational understanding of antisemitism, exploring its manifestations in society, media, and politics. Participants analyze its impacts as a source of generational trauma on mental health and learn practical tools and strategies for responding to antisemitism in professional and clinical practice, empowering them to become allies joining the fight against antisemitism.
