AGPA Policy Resolution in Support of Academic Freedom
The American Group Psychotherapy Association, a multidisciplinary association of all of the mental health professions, including academics, practitioners, and scientists, dedicated to advancing the field of group psychotherapy through education, practice and research, condemns any movement that would attempt to curtail the free exchange of scientific and clinical knowledge across academic institutions. Furthermore, to discriminate on the basis of nationality, ethnicity, race, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation or religion is in direct opposition to the Association’s mission and values.
